Intro
Before the world changed due to COVID, I had a dream, to build something cool. I prayed and asked God for direction, and I believe He gave me, simply "start small." I had been intrigued by the idea of tiny houses, and so that started the journey.
The first modular project "Sojourn" is the flagship of what I hope to be a collection of custom built or highly customized "off the beaten path" tiny houses. The "Sojourn" takes its name from a word used even in Biblical times, meaning short or temporary stay. I opted to make it a "disconnected" space, meaning I have intentionally decided to remove internet WIFI and TVs in order to promote organic thought and reflection and a "quiet place." From my personal experience as well as actual research, that is found to be better for mental health. Wanted to help foster an atmosphere of peaceful, quiet bliss, encouraging myself and others to time to breath.
The Sojourn is currently available for short term rentals, you can book it here.
My story continues. After that, I kept praying as I continued to want to learn more about the world of tiny houses and
other small housing, such as shipping container houses, modulars, and A-frames. In 2024, by Gods
graces, Workmanship Company was born.
My dream is to build small beautiful and affordable
housing spaces that can aid one in their quest for a more minimalistic lifestyle, and offer a
disconnect and getaway from the normal course of life. My current goal is to help you build one of our current models on your property, or connect you with those building tiny homes on wheels, A-frames, and Shipping Container housing. Then help guide you along the process, whichever path you choose.
Workmanship Company aims facilitate the upstart of a community of those appreciative of tiny living, and provide a place where your tiny house dreams become reality.
